
Sony show their special product by launch new high quality notebook called VAIO P. The 8- inch display, giving different colour into mini notebook’s world. Sony seem offering VAIO P as a little box with higy technology in your pocket.
Sony VAIO P is different enough than usual netbook. The LCD ratio is quiet contrass, physicly it looks like a long wallet. This netbook’s design is also quiet amazing. With solid structure, right in the size and the weight. But there’s one miss point, your finger print will be left in the netbook’s body, just like happened to another glossy netbook.
Actually, VAIO P only give us a small space to up-grade the hardware specification. Because it doesn’t desaign with a structure that could be opened or serviced by ourselves. So, only the experts can open this netbook.
VAIO P uses Windows Vista Basic (32-bit) operation system, but it’s still possible for you to use Windows 7 in the future. Because VAIO P is also guaranteed by Microsoft for using their newest operation system.
Beside supported by Windows Vista, this netbook is also providing shortcut button that make us easy to access email, operate the camera, chat, and use the other features.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t supported by complete port facilities. It only has USB, audio jack, card reader, expansion port, and the port from power adaptor.Running the show are 1,33GHz Z520 Intel Atom Processor, a high specification from Z-series Atom. Then 2GB of DDR2 800 MHz (1 DIMM) RAM, and GMA 500 Intel for graphical media accelerator. In benchmark test using wPrime, PCMark 05, and 3Dmark06, it looks good.
The score note for wPrime : 172,425 seconds (Windows Vista) and 154,768 seconds (by Windows 7). In PCMark05 : 972(Windows Vista) and 1,175 (Windows 7). Then, in 3Dmark06 : 88 (Windows Vista) and 71 (Windows 7). An interesting result was found in the hardisk perform by HDTune benchmark test. The SSD hardisk has very good quality which is proved by the stability of netbook perform.
This netbook has two battery choices, 4-cell battery and 6-cell battery that actually big enough for a netbook. The 6-cell battery lasted a reasonably long 4 hours, 38 minutes in on-wireless condition for browsing, chatting, and using office aplications, with 60% brightness level.
